PRIVATE RESIDENCE
AREA 138 m²
On a gently sloping eight-hectare plot in Aspro Chorio, Paros, stands a home envisioned not by architects alone, but by the very hands that would build it. The owner—a seasoned stone mason—set out to craft a house for his family, stone by stone, drawing upon knowledge passed down through generations.
This design was not about grandeur, but about intention. Every square meter was cherished, carefully composed to honor the land’s modesty and the view’s quiet gift: the endless southeast stretch of Aegean blue. Simplicity became the project’s compass, with geometric forms spread low and wide, grounding the structure and giving it breath.
Within, light flows uninterrupted through a unified space—living room, kitchen, and dining area blending in calm companionship. A W.C., laundry room, full bath, three bedrooms, garage, and boiler room complete the plan. The terrain, almost whispering in its gentleness, allowed the home to rest on a single, fluid level—no steps, no interruptions, just the ease of movement and the sense of wholeness.
Constructed with local marble-stone, its soft white hues anchor the house to the Cycladic soul. Each wall, each curve, speaks of patience and familiarity with the land. The surrounding earth, untouched and full of promise, will be nurtured by the family themselves—gardens to grow, trees to shade, a landscape to love.
This is not just a home. It is a testament: to labor, to legacy, and to the quiet dignity of building a life with your own hands.
